It’s Who We Are

The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC) is A Youth Leadership Development Program Sponsored by The U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard.
Our Mission is to Build Leaders of Character.
We do so by Offering America’s Young Men and Women Hands-On and Experiential Training in Partnership with The Navy and its Sister Services,
in Order to Instill the Highest Ideals of Honor, Respect, Commitment, And Service.

We are the Jupiter/Langley Squadron and our homeport is in the northern Palm Beach County area of Jupiter Florida. The only Naval Sea Cadet Corps aviation unit in South Florida. Our focus is to introduce young Americans to the history, tradition and legacy of the U.S. Navy and U.S Coast Guard aviation community.

We accomplish this through hands on and classroom learning, interaction with active duty and retired Navy and Coast Guard officers and enlisted personnel and subject matter experts in their fields. From aviation maintenance to aerospace science to aeronautic construction, each cadet gains an opportunity to broaden their experience and appreciation of flight and flight mechanics.

Our squadron accepts applications for youth that live in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach, Tequesta, Hobe Sound and Stuart. If you live outside these areas, please contact us for consideration.

We Learn Seamanship

All Cadets receive training in basic seamanship. This includes boating safety, marlinspike, navigation, emergency procedures, maritime courtesy and life-saving procedure. The curriculum of this training is approved by the U.S. Navy and standardized at all training sites.

We Learn Aviation

Jupiter/Langley Squadron is one of seven aviation units in Florida and the ONLY aviation focused Sea Cadet unit in South Florida. Cadets have the opportunity to learn about a variety of aviation careers and can obtain their Private Pilot or Drone license through instruction from certified and licensed Flight Instructors.

We Learn Leadership

All Cadets are part of a national youth leadership development organization that promotes interest and skill in naval disciplines while instilling strong moral character and life skills through leadership and technical programs modeled after the Navy’s professional development system. Cadets earn promotions through increased responsibility and service.

We Learn Teamwork

Cadets learn to importance of unit cohesion and collaboration and to work toward the achievement of a common goal. They learn discipline, how to problem-solve and loyalty. Camaraderie is key and many Cadets develop life-long friends. Many go on to serve together in the Armed Forces. Every Shipmate learns how to help pull each other up.
